These will be available to the canteens and should be given out once the student has completed the entry form. This year the minor prizes will be Fresh for Kids reusable straw. There are seven different designs for students to collect.
Prizes will be posted to the winning student’s school. The major prizes include:
Use the ‘Eat Fresh & Win’ canteen campaign as a reward or incentive for students who make a purchase of fresh and/or vegetables. Implement some special meal ideas to create interest in the promotion.
Students should receive a stamp with each fruit and/or vegetable purchase. Students are required to make two purchases to complete the entry form.
Once students have completed their entry form, they should be rewarded with one Fresh for Kids reusable straw.
Entry forms should be handed out at the commencement of the campaign and every time a student returns a completed entry form. In order to complete the entry form, students must make at least two purchases of fruit and/or vegetables from their school canteen. If your school is running the promotion in the classroom, students need to bring fruit and/or vegetables to school for recess or lunch two times to complete the entry form.
Please let all your students know that they can enter as many times as they like. They simply need to complete their ‘Eat Fresh & Win’ entry form, by placing two stamps on the designated areas. All entry forms must be sent back to Sydney Markets Limited by Friday 3rd December 2021.
The completed entry forms should be sent to Sydney Markets, PO Box 2, Sydney Markets NSW 2129 by Friday 3rd December 2021.
Please ensure that the red slip (included in this kit) to return slip (download here).

The following series of tips should help you get the most out of the canteen campaign. We hope they will encourage children to alter their eating habits, once they realise that fruit and veg can not only be fun, but tasty too!
Students need to be aware what is happening, so promote the campaign over the counter and at school assemblies. Place the posters we send you in various locations around the school. You can also make some of your own posters too!
Get help from your principal. It is important for children to eat fruit and vegetables, so your school principal should be in full support of the campaign. Get their help to promote the campaign by involving teachers at your school.
Provide new menu ideas. Why not try something that you don’t normally put on your menu. It’s only for a short time, but it may make a big difference. (For recipe ideas please visit www.freshforkids.com.au/all-recipes)
Have a specific fruit and vegetable day where you can try something a little different. Have a ‘Banana Smoothie Special Day’ or maybe a ‘Baked Spud Lunch Special’. You could also have a day or so where only items containing fruit and vegetables are only available – a ‘Ban the Junk Day’. MEDIA Contact your local newspaper. Send them a media release and invite them to the school to photograph your healthy kids.
Ask your local greengrocer to sponsor the campaign by donating some or all of the fruit & veg needed for the campaign. But most of all, make it as much FUN as possible!
Students are not the only ones who can receive fantastic prizes for taking part in the ‘Eat Fresh & Win’ canteen campaign. You too can be in the running to win some great prizes just by promoting the campaign at your school.
The school that sends back the highest number of completed entry forms per student will be rewarded with a $2000 Booktopia voucher.
Registered schools taking part in the ‘Eat Fresh & Win’ canteen campaign are automatically in the running to win.
All you need to do is make sure that you continue to promote the campaign in your school and ensure that you have completed the red entry form slip at the end of the campaign (available in the pack). The school with the highest number of entry forms per student will win the Booktopia voucher.
