Mark Milligan was born on August 4, 1985 in Sydney, Australia.
He is an Australian football (soccer) player and has played for the Australian A-League club Sydney FC. He is on the verge of playing in Europe with his future set to be decided after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
He is also the captain of the Australian U23 football team (Olyroos) and has been capped for the senior Australian National Team (Socceroos) and was part of the historical Socceroos squad that took part in the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Mark was also part of the team in the 2007 Asian Cup.
Mark Milligan is a utility defender, originally known as a Right-Back, but more recently playing in both Central Defence and Central Midfield.

I would have to say Argentina and Barcelona star Lionel Messi, when I played against him in the U20’s, he was unbelievable.

What about your worst injury?
Mark Milligan:
Three years ago I suffered a double groin injury as well as a hernia which set me back for the year, it was very disappointing.

What do you think has been your biggest achievement in sport?
Mark Milligan:
Being selected in the 2006 World Cup Socceroos squad in Germany and also in the Asian Cup in 2007. I will also mention that captaining the Australian Olympic team as well.

Perseverance and hard work and also battling till the end.
