Increase your incidental activity!
What does this mean? – Put simply it means to move more. How can you do this? Try walking up stairs instead of taking lifts or escalators when shopping, walk your dog (they love it), help your Mum or Dad by hanging out the washing, try gardening, help your parents by vacuuming the house. Watch less TV – get out and play more!
Be Safe and ‘Be a sport’
Don’t forget to do some warm up and cool down stretches as these help you from getting sore or stiff muscles and exercises can also minimise the risk of injury.
Drink lots of water before, during and after physical activity and don’t forget to eat plenty of fresh fruit and salads!
Other great tips include to wear plenty of sunscreen (SPF15+), wear a hat and also loose, comfortable clothing. |
